ICCo is a development organization focussing on two core guiding principles of ‘Securing Sustainable Livelihoods’ and ‘Justice and Dignity for All’ in India. The programmes and initiatives are closely aligned with the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). ICCo works in the area of responsible business, sustainable livelihoods, education and children, with gender and inclusion as a cross cutting theme. We play diverse roles such as a Catalyst, Entrepreneur, Networker and an Implementer for our various programmes.

Under the broad theme of responsible behaviour, we focus on issues of child labour and promoting climate neutral strategies in supply chains in the tea and textile sector. In the tea sector, we are building the capacities of small tea growers and facilitating dialogue among relevant stakeholders to provide decent working conditions in the tea gardens.

In the textile and stone sector, we work with Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) and other stakeholders such as corporates, trade and teachers unions, NGOs and local community on adopting various responsible business behaviour practices.

During the Summit, ICCo is organizing a round table focussing on its work on SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) in connection with responsible business, particularly focussing on textile, natural stone and tea sectors.

The roundtable will build awareness and understanding of SDG 8. Several multinational brands, UN organizations, key supply chain players will attend the roundtable.

The purpose will be to facilitate dialogue among various stakeholders with the intent of sharing knowledge and best practices, identifying challenges and exploring solutions in realising SDG 8 in business.

Established in the year 2015 as a Japan India Technology and Innovation joint venture company with main focus on sustainable technology solutions for manufacturing, renewables, e-mobility, controlled environment agriculture and fitness induced gaming for the modern work environment.

One of the greatest environmental challenges the world faces today lies in mobility and to mitigate the detrimental effects caused by it, e-mobility is one of the primary solution. JIT helps in designing and implementing eco systems for sustainable mobility.
