ET-SDGs Impact Summit is not officially supported by NITI AAYOG and United Nations

The Summit

The Times of India Group, India’s largest media conglomerate together with The World We Want, a global social impact enterprise, have co-conceptualised the annual SDGs Impact Summit, taking place on November 16 in Taj Palace, New Delhi, with the mission to curate a truly global platform of global change makers committed to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The Summit is also one of the first major events for the Global South to take the reins on creating world-oriented solutions addressing the SDGs.

Inspire, Educate & Raise Awareness

Story-tell hero success stories to create best practice case studies and set new benchmarks through event led public campaigning and advocacy.

Create, Collaborate & Innovate

Encourage global changemakers and thought-leaders across multiple sectors to share their challenges and insights to spur new ideas, innovations and collaborations to create sustainable solutions.

Attend the summit to learn, leverage knowledge and network.

Accelerate, Scale & Empower

Identify new forms of finance mechanisms and vehicles to scale up sustainable ventures.

Develop mentoring, incubation and accelerator programmes to empower the vision of the next generation of philanthropists, changemakers and social entrepreneurs.

The event will be segmented into 5 core themes based on the Five Ps Model for Sustainable Development. Broader themes include:

Leaving no one behind

The 2030 Agenda seeks to benefit all people and commits to leave no one behind by reaching out to all people in need and deprivation, wherever they are, in a manner that targets theirs specific challenges and vulnerabilities.

Interconnectedness and indivisibility

The 2030 Agenda rests on the interconnected and indivisible nature of its 17 SDGs, and  it is crucial that their implementation is done in entirety instead of an individual list of goals to pick and choose from.

The 2030 Agenda calls for the participation of all segments of society – irrespective of their race, gender, ethnicity, and identity – to contribute to its implementation.

Multi-stakeholder partnerships

The 2030 Agenda calls for establishing multi-stakeholder partnerships for mobilizing and sharing knowledge, expertise, technology and financial resources, to support the achievement of SDGs in all countries.

WWW and Times of India Group boasts a formidable network of national and international partners. The SDGs Impact Summit would be attended by 500+ global delegates across government, media, talent, civil society, academia, policy, NGOs, and corporates to spotlight India and international rule breakers, problem solvers, storytellers, thought shapers, global leaders and renegades with a cause who are committed to achieving the SDGs.

Whilst not a celebrity driven event, popular culture stars will be interspersed in the event, especially celebrities who are committed to specific causes. The 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals are our collective response to building a fair globalization, and it is up to us ensure global growth is equitable and sustainable.
