Mukund is the Vice-President and General Manager of all Ecolab businesses in the sub-continent. He is responsible to drive operational excellence and the overall growth of Ecolab’s businesses (Ecolab, Nalco and Nalco Champion) in India.
With more than two decades of experience, Mukund has held increasingly complex and impactful business-focused positions in the water and oil & gas industries. He began his career as an engineer at Schlumberger Wireline and Testing and spent six years as an engagement manager for McKinsey & Company, where he launched several global and local initiatives to drive business growth for various customers.
Mukund is also Co-Chair – Water Committee, FICCI, and Lead – National Water Committee, CII. As a representative of these esteemed bodies, Mukund has been a strong advocate of water sustainability. Driving important initiatives through these bodies, Mukund has been pivotal in amplifying conversations around water conservation and efficient water management, thus rallying the support of corporates to adopt sustainability practices.
Mukund has been very instrumental in putting together CEWA, the CEO Water Alliance. This initiative has brought together industry leaders to make water a boardroom priority. A thought leader in the ecosystem, he has been very vocal about an integrated approach to address water management challenges.
He was previously associated with Pentair Valves & Controls, where he served as the Vice President and was instrumental in growing Pentair business for the Middle East and India. He also served on the board of directors of Infinite Water Solutions, a joint venture between Pentair and Eureka Forbes.
Mukund is a Bachelor of Technology from the Indian Institute of Technology, Mumbai and he has a Masters degree in Finance and Strategy from the University of Chicago, Graduate School of Business.
