Ms. Shallu Jindal , the Chairperson, JSPL Foundation is a highly accomplished Kuchipudi danseuse and a noted social contributor. She is ex Chairperson of National Bal Bhawan under Ministry of HRD , GOI and the Founder President of Young FICCI Ladies Organisation (YFLO).
Shallu has unshakable conviction in sustainability in social intervention and believes in enabling the Community especially the underprivileged and socially vulnerable as well as empowering their lives in a 360 degree mode instead of involving in one time charity .
Under her direct day to day guidance , the JSPL Foundation has promoted more than 9000 micro enterprises in farm , off farm and non farm sector generating sustainable livelihood options for 30000 families and indirect employment for 50000 families. She has been able to command an ocean of trust from more than 1.9 million families for JSPL Foundation’s inclusive health , education and other quality of life programme.
Under her direct mentoring , more than 4500 children with special abilities have been rehabilitated and mainstreamed and 54000 adolescent girls are taken out of anaemia. More than 18 lakhs rural people have been enabled to get access to safe drinking water .More than 10000 underprivileged students have been awarded scholarship for pursuing higher education and More than one lakh youth are equipped with certified vocational skill and augmented employment opportunities.
Shallu Jindal has opened the Jindal Art Institute, with the aim of spreading far and wide the rich artistic heritage of India and world with the masses. She is also the Vice President of Flag Foundation of India under the guidance n leadership of her husband Shri Naveen jindal .
She has been honoured with many awards for her outstanding achievements in the field of Indian classical dance (Kuchipudi) and contribution in the field of art and culture, education and community development. She has compiled books like Tiranga and Freedom. She has authored her first book for children titled “India: An Alphabet Ride”, .
